A Dream Born from Cravings

What do you do when your heart craves the crispy, golden skin of Cebu lechon belly—but you’re thousands of miles away from home? For us, the answer was simple: bring Cebu to Florida, one bite at a time.

What do you do when your heart aches for the crispy, golden skin of Cebu lechon belly, but you’re thousands of miles away from home? For us, the answer was simple: bring Cebu to Florida, one bite at a time.

It all started with a craving that no ordinary meal could satisfy. The kind of craving that reminds you of family gatherings back home—the laughter around the table, the smell of roasted lechon filling the air, and the feeling of home wrapped in every bite. For every Cebuano, and for many Filipinos, food isn’t just about eating. It’s about love, connection, and culture.

When we moved to Florida, that longing for home hit hard. We missed not just the food, but the warmth and spirit that came with it. That’s when the idea was born: why not share the flavors we love with everyone here—Filipinos longing for a taste of home, and locals curious about authentic Cebuano cooking?

And so, Donyol’s was born. A Filipino food catering business with a mission: to make every bite feel like a celebration and every meal taste like home.

The Love for Filipino Food and Family Traditions

In every Filipino gathering, food isn’t just food. It’s the heartbeat of celebration. At Donyol’s, every plate of Cebu Lechon Belly is our way of sharing that love, warmth, and tradition with you.

In every Filipino home, food is more than just sustenance. It’s the heartbeat of every gathering. Birthdays, weddings, fiestas, even a simple Sunday lunch, there’s always a table overflowing with dishes that tell stories of love, care, and tradition. At the center of it all? Lechon. That golden, crispy-skinned masterpiece that makes every celebration feel complete.

Growing up in Cebu, lechon wasn’t just a dish—it was the highlight of the occasion. We remember the excitement of seeing the whole roasted pig, the irresistible aroma of spices, and the joy of sharing it with family and friends. Preparing it was a family affair too—everyone had a role, from marinating to setting up the table. Those moments were filled with laughter, stories, and that special kind of warmth you only feel at home.

When we created Donyol’s, we wanted to bring that same warmth to every plate we serve. For us, this isn’t just about selling food, it’s about keeping traditions alive and sharing a piece of Filipino culture with our community here in Florida. Every crispy bite of our Cebu Lechon Belly carries that promise: to give you more than a meal, but an experience that feels like home.

The Leap from Home Kitchen to Food Booth and Beyond

From a humble home kitchen to pop-up events and community celebrations, Donyol’s found its place not in a restaurant, but in every Filipino craving for home.

Donyol’s started the way many Filipino food stories do, at home, in a kitchen filled with love and laughter. It began with family and friends in Florida, asking for the dishes they missed the most: Cebu Lechon Belly, lumpia, siomai, and sweet kakanin that remind us of childhood. What started as small gatherings turned into bigger orders, and soon, we realized something important, there’s a real craving for authentic Filipino flavors here in Southwest Florida.

Instead of a traditional restaurant, we chose a different path,a more flexible, community-driven way to share our food. We set up a food booth and began joining local pop-up events, and catering bringing a taste of Cebu to every corner of North Port, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Venice, Englewood, Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Tampa, and Cape Coral. We offer convenient pick-up and delivery so our customers can enjoy Filipino comfort food wherever they are.

Why this setup? Because it allows us to stay close to the community, adapt to different celebrations, and share our food at events where people gather and connect. It’s the Filipino way—being there where the fun is, bringing joy through food. This flexibility, this spirit of “kayang-kaya basta may diskarte” (we can make it happen if we find a way), is what keeps Donyol’s moving forward.

For us, it’s not just about business, it’s about reaching people, one lechon belly at a time, wherever they are.

Our Star: Cebu Lechon Belly and the Menu We Love

At the heart of every Filipino feast is lechon, and at Donyol’s, our Cebu Lechon Belly is more than a dish, it’s a taste of home, paired with Filipino classics that tell stories of love and tradition.

If there’s one dish that truly captures the heart of every Cebuano celebration, it’s lechon. And at Donyol’s, our Cebu Lechon Belly is the star of the table—seasoned with authentic herbs and spices, slow-roasted to perfection, with golden crispy skin that crackles at every bite and tender, flavorful meat that melts in your mouth. It’s the kind of lechon that brings back memories of fiestas, family reunions, and Sunday lunches back home.

But the story doesn’t end with lechon belly. Our menu is a collection of Filipino favorites that carry the same warmth and heritage. Crispy veggie lumpia for that perfect crunch, pork and shrimp siomai that’s juicy and savory, and a sweet lineup of desserts like biko, cassava cake, turon, pinoy fruit salad, and puto cheese, all made to remind you of the tastes you grew up with.

Every dish we serve has a story—a story of home, of traditions passed down, and of love poured into every bite. At Donyol’s, we don’t just cook food; we share a piece of our culture, one plate at a time.

Challenges, Triumphs, and Gratitude

From humble beginnings to heartfelt support, Donyol’s is here because of you. Every bite of our Cebu Lechon Belly, lumpia, and sweet kakanin carries a piece of our gratitude.

Starting Donyol’s was never easy. At first, we were just a small family with a big dream, and a deep craving for the flavors of home. Introducing Filipino food, especially Cebu Lechon Belly, to a new market in Florida felt like a challenge. Would people understand why we loved crispy pork skin so much? Would they appreciate the spices, the flavors, the traditions behind every dish?

We started small, taking orders for pick-up, cooking in batches, and joining local pop-up events whenever we could. Every day was a learning experience, from perfecting our roasting process to finding the best way to share dishes like lumpia, siomai, biko, cassava cake, and turon with people who had never tried them before.

But then something beautiful happened: the Filipino community embraced us like family, and locals grew curious about the food we love. The first time we saw someone’s eyes light up after tasting our Cebu Lechon Belly, we knew this was more than just business, it was a mission. To connect, to share, and to keep Filipino flavors alive here in Florida.

Today, Donyol’s stands because of you, our customers, our friends, our community. Every order, every smile, every “Wow, this tastes like home” means the world to us. Salamat kaayo. Thank you for letting us share a piece of Cebu, one plate at a time.
